Holiday Gift Box: DCWV Design Team Blog Hop with Eileen Hull

Hi there,

Today, the DCWV Design Team is blog hopping with Eileen Hull. We all received Eileen's fun Twist & Style tool to create with, and creating with it was fun indeed. I also used DCWV's Elegant Holiday and Gift Décor DIY Project stack to create this Holiday Gift Box. Take a peek at my tutorial below.

Supplies

DCWV:
  • Elegant Holiday Stack
  • Gift Decor DIY Project Stack
  • Mailer Box
Eileen Hull Twist & Style Tool
Xyron: Creative Station, Mega Runner, 1.5 Sticker Maker
Paint Brush
Wire
Pins
Clustered Berries
Beads
Charm
Ribbon/Bows
Scissors
Hot Glue
Trimmer
3D Tape

Instructions

Step 1: Anchor base of Twist & Style tool to a surface and place wire around the extended piece of the tool as shown above. Ensure that the wire is even on each side.
Step 2: Add beads to the wire. Take the end points of the wire and stick it into the black end tip of the Twist & Style handle of the tool and secure.

Step 3: Twist handle of the tool until you have the desired tension and tightness of the wire. Detach wire from the handle of the tool.

Step 4: Using a handle of a paint brush,  create more defined twisted designs with the beaded wire-creating a coiled effect. Set aside.

Step 5: Run patterned paper and coordinated pieces through Xyron Creative Station.

Step 6: Adhere patterned paper to DCWV Mailer Box top and secure inside of the box top.

Step 7: Run additional patterned papers and coordinated pieces through Xyron Creative Station and adhere to box top.
Step 8: Adhere ribbon and multi-loop bow to the box.

Step 9: Add beaded and coiled wire to box with clustered berries. Continue embellishing as desired.
