Cherish Card with Chameleon Markers & DCWV

Hi there,

DCWV is blog hopping with Chameleon every Friday this month.  Today I am sharing a card that I created with Chameleon Color Tones Pens and DCWV products. I absolutely loved combining the products and creating with the pens.  The color range flexibility was perfect for coloring the floral stamped image that I chose and I really enjoyed achieving varying tones within each pen. I also used the pens to create coordinating ribbon and a watercolor effect around my stamped image. This was a super fun card to create.  Take a peek at my tutorial below.

Chameleon Pens (BG4, BL3, PK4)
Watercolor Paper
Floral Stamp
Black Stazon Ink
Die Cut
Xyron Adhesive: New Creative Station
Hot Glue
Craft Mat
Water Mister
Paint Brush
Spritzer Tool

Step 1: Remove cap from brush side of the pen and place onto the mixing chamber for 30- 45 seconds.

Step 2: Remove the mixing chamber and begin coloring the pre-stamped image. Notice the range in color from light to a rich tone. Note: The pens are super easy to blend with.

Step 3: Continue coloring image using complimentary colors. Set aside.

Step 4: To create coordinating ribbon, apply pen to a craft sheet, mist water onto craft sheet and use ribbon to absorb ink and water. Wad ribbon to create a crinkled effect and let dry. Note: I used Peony Pink to coordinate with my card.

Step 5: Apply ink to craft mat, mist water and brush ink around colored image. Note: I used Sky Blue. Let dry.
Step 6: Spritz black ink onto colored image using a Spritzer tool.
Step 7: Run card layers through Creative Station to apply adhesive.

Step 8: Add ribbon to card base and adhere layers onto burlap card base.
Step 9: Add bow and layered button.

Step 10: Adhere die cut and continue embellishing as desired.
