Deep Red Stamps & Xyron Designer Blog Hop Giveaway: True Friends Card

Hi there,

Today begins the Xyron & Deep Red Stamps Blog Hop. All week (May 16th-20th), Xyron and Deep Red Stamps will be sharing wonderful inspiration using products from both companies.  The Designers will have a  Giveaway Opportunity each day of the hop and you will have a chance to win a $25 gift card from Deep Red Stamps at each stop. One winner per blog will be chosen after the blog hop ends. To be eligible to win on my blog, leave a comment below.

Today, I'm sharing this "True Friends" cards that I created with Xyron and Deep Red Stamps.  I used the Girls Bicycle and True Friends stamps.  I loved how easy and smoothly the images transferred to the water color paper. Combining the products with Xyron Adhesive made this card come together effortlessly. Take a peek at my tutorial below. It's super easy and fun!

Deep Red Stamps: True Friends, Girls Bicycle
Watercolor Paper
Black Cardstock
Water Mister
DCWV: Burlap Paper
Distress Stain: Fired Brick, Crushed Olive, Vintage Photo
Sentiment Dies
Black Ink
Air Brush Tool and Copic Marker
Hot Glue

Step 1: Using distress inks, directly apply inks to bicycle stamp and mist water on to inked stamp.

Step 2: Transfer image to watercolor paper. Let dry.
Step 3: Using the airbrush tool and copic marker (E41), transfer stencil pattern to stamped watercolor paper.

Step 4: Apply black ink to True Friends stamp and stamp on to watercolor paper. Distress edges with distress ink.

Step 5: Trim Burlap Paper down to a layering size and run through the Creative Station Lite to apply adhesive. Set aside.

Step 6: Apply ribbon to each side of watercolor paper. Turn paper over and apply adhesive using the Xyron Mega Runner and adhere to Burlap Paper.
Step 7: Adhere burlap Paper and card front to black card base. Add dyed ribbon bows.

Step 8: Run worded die cut through 3" Sticker Maker and apply to card.
Step 9: Continue embellishing card as desired.
