Winter Coaster Wall Hanging using Pebbles & Xyron

Hi there
Today, I am sharing a wall hanging created with coasters, Xyron adhesive and Pebbles Winter Wonderland Collection. I really enjoyed working with this collection. The papers have a white core, which makes distressing super easy.   The pieces within the collection coordinate beautifully. Combining Pebbles with Xyron made this project fun and quick.  I’m including an easy tutorial below:

Pebbles: Patterned Paper
Coasters (5)
Ribbon (Stained)
3D Tape
Hot Glue

Step 1: Cut patterned end strips from patterned paper to be used in various stages of the project. Cut (3) 4 X 4  and (2 ) 4 X 6) pieces of coordinating patterned papers. Note: Use a different pattern for each cut.

Step 2: Score the 4 x6 pieces of patterned paper at 2' and fold upward creating a pocket.

Step 3: Run all patterned paper pieces through the New Creative Station.

Step 4: Adhere patterned papers to coasters and trim around edges. Note: Coasters can be pre-printed or blank. I used pre-printed and covered them with the Pebbles papers in the photo above.

Step 5: Sand edges of coasters with sanding bar.

Step 6: Run additional patterned paper pieces for each coaster through the New Creative Station and adhere to coasters.
Step 7: Punch holes in coaster using Cropadile and add eyelets. (2 holes at the top and 2 holes at the bottom). Ensure holes are aligned well.

Step 8: Using a Xyron Adhesive Tape Runner, secure flaps on sides to create pockets. Add additional patterned paper strips to coaster.

Step 9: Run ribbon through the top eyelets and secure with knots on back on each side.  Add the second coaster to the wall hanging by running ribbon through one of the eyelets on the second coaster from the back. Pull the ribbon through and run it through the eyelet at the bottom of the 1st coaster- knot the ribbon on the back of the 1st coaster. Cut the ribbon from the back of the 2nd coaster and knot it.  Repeat this step for the opposite side and the remaining coasters as they are added to the Wall Hanging.
Step 10: Add journaling opportunities to the coasters with a folded card effect. Mount with 3D tape.

Step 11: Add Pebbles stickers to each of the coasters. Continue creating wintery scenes on the remaining coasters and continue embellishing as desired.

Autumn Blessings Journal using Harvest House by DCWV

Hi there,

Today I'm sharing an Autumn Blessings Journal that I created using the Mercury Glass and Harvest House stacks by DCWV. This combination is perfect for this time of year. The patterns are so beautifully coordinated and versatile. They really made this journal come to life. I’m going to enjoy adding photos and journaling in this journal on Thanksgiving Day.  The journal measures 3 ½ x 5.  I’m including an easy tutorial below:

DCWV Stack:

·        Mercury Glass Stack

·        Harvest House Stack

Ribbon (Stained)

Brown Chalk

Xyron Adhesive

3D Tape

Hot Glue

Step 1: Cut sentiments from the Harvest House stack.

Step 2: Run 5 x 7 ¾ piece of patterned paper from Mercury stack though the New Creative Station and adhere to journal. Note: Begin securing the paper to the front cover, wrapping around the binding and then securing the remaining paper to the back of the journal. When you are done, you would have covered both front and back covers with 1 piece of patterned paper.

Step 3: Add ribbon to the journal. Set aside.

Step 4:  Distress the edges of coordinating patterned papers and journaling spots from the Harvest Home stack.

Step 5: Adhere patterned papers and journaling spots together and layer onto journal.

Step 6: Adhere layered focal image on to journal using 3D tape.

Step 7: Add leaves and sentiment. Continue embellishing as desired.

Xyron & Faber Castell Blog Hop: Christmas Mini Mixed Media Canvases

Hi there,
Today, I am sharing 2 Mini Mixed Media Canvases that I created for this week's Blog Hop with Xyron and Faber Castell. I love mixed media projects, so when I received my box of Faber Castell and Xyron products  to create with, I knew that I would enjoy this journey. These canvases were super easy to make and perfect for gift giving. I included an easy tutorial below.
Faber Castell: Gelatos (Brights), Mixed Media Stencil, Gesso
Pre-Gesso'd Deep 4" Canvas (2)
Water Mister
Copic Markers (YG67, YG05,R46,R59,E57)
Air Compressor
Resin (Birds and Frames)
Christmas Script Die Cuts
Floral Berries
Distress Ink
Xyron: 3" Sticker Maker, Adhesive Dots

Step 1: Directly apply gelatos to craft sheet and mist water over gelatos.
Step 2: Turn pre-gesso'd canvases over on top of craft sheet.
Step 3: Turn canvases over and ink sides of the canvases with remaining ink left on craft sheet. Set aside to dry. Note: To absorb the remaining ink, reactivate gelatos with mister and place tags on craft sheet. The tags can be used for future projects.

Step 4: Directly apply gelatos to edges of canvases and rub along the edges.

Step 5: Lay a mixed media stencil on the 1st canvas and airbrush the pattern onto the canvas. Repeat this step for the 2nd canvas. Set aside.
Step 6: Rub some gelatos on a mini resin frame and then airbrush the frame with a coordinating color. Accent the frame with more gelatos by rubbing the gelatos on the raised areas of the frame. Repeat this step for the 2nd frame.
Step 7: Adhere frame and berry stems to the canvas.

Step 8: Adhere berry clusters to the canvases.
Step 9: Using adhesive dots, adhere flowers to accent. Add ribbon and set aside.
Step 10: Airbrush resin birds and accent with gelatos to enhance the details.
Step 11: Run script die cuts through 3" Sticker Maker.
Step 12: Adhere die cuts and resin birds to the canvases. Continue embellishing as desired.
