Love Tag: Xyron & Craftwell Inspiration Hop!!

Hi there,

Xyron and Craftwell are partnering this week for an inspiration hop. Today, it's my day and I created this “Love" tag using Craftwell’s “So In Love” 8 X 12 Embossing Folder.  I absolutely love the large embossing folder for a project of this size. The tag measures 4 3/4 X 8, which offers great space for loads of creativity. The base layer is a patterned mega tag by K and Company that I embossed with the “So in Love” embossing folder. I love how the embossed hearts enhance the overall design. I have included a tutorial below.

Supplies:

Mega Tags:  4 (4 ¾ x 8)

Chipboard Tags: 2

Craftwell Embossing Folder: So In Love

Grand Calibur Machine

Sanding Bar

Resin Embellishments

Mini Stapler

Hole Punch

Ribbon

Xyron Adhesive: The New Creative Station, Adhesive Dots

Hot Glue

Flowers (Paper, Crochet)

Instructions:

Step 1: Emboss tags using the “So In Love” embossing folder and Grand Calibur machine.

Step 2: Sand the embossed area of the tags to create a distress effect.

Step 3: Run tags through the New Creative Station and adhere to chipboard tags. Note: Line up the tag and chipboard as best as you can. Trim as needed.

Step 4: Distress the edges of the tags with sand bar.

Step 5: Punch hole in the top of the tag using a hole punch.

Step 6: Using adhesive dots, apply ribbon to tag.

Step 7: Adhere flowers together with mini stapler then adhere to tag. Note: Place the unadhered embellishments on tag to provide a guide for the flowers.

Step 8: Adhere acrylic flower and resin embellishments to the tag.

Step 8: Adhere bows and continue embellishing as desired.

Another beautiful project. I never thought to sand the embossed design either, wow what a difference it makes to the look of the tag. I love the flowers and ribbon too!
