DCWV Christmas Card & Tutorial

Hi there,

I'm sharing a Christmas card that I created using  DCWV. I love using DCWV’s pre-scored cards. They are easily accessible and fun to create with.  I chose a card from the Burlap A2 Box of Cards. The burlap is printed and perfect for casual and elegant cards. The box of cards includes 24 cards and envelopes with 4 different prints, giving you many options with your card making.  More details and a tutorial for this card is featured on the DCWV blog, here.

Hi there,

Welcome to the DCWV and Faber-Castell Design Memory Craft® Winter blog hop! Dec 8th  through the 12th, both blogs will be sharing fun winter projects featuring products from both companies! Visit both blogs each day for an opportunity to win lots of fabulous prizes!

Today it's my turn and I created this Holiday card using DCWV  and Faber Castell. Take a peek at my tutorial below.

Supplies

DCWV:
  • Winter Stack
  • Winter Tag Stack
  • Corrugate Neutrals Stack
  • A2 Bright Burlap Card
Faber Castell:
  • Glass Bead Glitter Gel

Cosmetic Sponge
Snowflakes
Ribbon
Glue Gun
Trimmer
Adhesive: Xyron

Step 1: Apply Glass Bead Glitter Gel using cosmetic sponge to corrugated board. The gel glides on white, but dries clear. The result is a glittery and snowy effect.

Step 2: Apply Glass Bead Glitter Gel to patterned paper and adhere paper to corrugated board.
Step 3: Apply Glass Bead Glitter Gel to die cuts and all card layers. Set aside.
Step 4: Layer patterned paper and burlap paper together.
Step 5: Adhere layered paper to the corrugated board and add ribbon using adhesive dots.
Step 6: Using hot glue, adhere snowflake and sentiment.
Step 7: Add ribbon and additional sentiment. Continue embellishing as desired.

Tis The Season Keepsake: Xyron's 30 Days of Holidays Event

Hi there,

Today, I am sharing a keepsake that I created using Xyron products for our "30 Days of Holidays" event. For 30 days, you get an opportunity to view creative designs by the Xyron Design team.

I created the following seasonal keepsake. It's perfect for gift giving or can serve as holiday d├ęcor for the mantle. I used patterned burlap paper by DCWV and flowers by Petaloo. I love the end result. I'm including a tutorial below.

Supplies
Xyron Adhesive:
Patterned Burlap Paper
Corrugated Cardstock
Wooden Box
Flowers
Pearl Pins
Sentiment
Ribbon (Satin and Pearl Ribbon)
Glue Gun
Trimmer

Step 1: Trim corrugated board paper to size of wooden box and run paper through 5" Creative Station.

Step 2: Remove film and adhere corrugated board to wooden box. Set aside.

Step 3: Trim printed burlap paper down to size to layer onto the corrugated paper.

Step 4: Cut ribbon to wrap over top and bottom edge of burlap paper layer. Apply 3/8 adhesive dots to the back of the ribbon.

Step 5: Adhere ribbon to the burlap paper layer.

Step 6: Apply 3/8 adhesive dots to the opposite of the burlap paper and adhere pearled ribbon.

Step 7: Apply adhesive to the back of the burlap paper using the Teresa Collins Mega Runner and apply to the corrugated paper.

Step 8: Add embellishments with hot glue and enjoy. Continue embellishing as desired.
