Christmas Double Layout: Xyron's 30 Days of Holidays Event

Hi there,

Today, I am sharing a double layout that I created using Xyron for our "30 Days of Holidays" event. For 30 days, you get an opportunity to view creative designs by the Xyron Design Team. How fun is that?? Holiday ideas are always useful and perfect this time of the year.

I created the following Christmas double layout using a photo of my girls 1st Christmas. I used patterned papers and 3D ornaments by Anna Griffin. I love the end result.  I'm including a tutorial below.

Supplies
Xyron Adhesive:
Patterned Paper
Cardstock
Photo
Wooden Box
3D Stickers
Vintage Photo Ink
Foam Tool
Ribbon
Glue Gun

Step 1: Run patterned papers and strips through Xyron 5" Creative Station.

Step 2: Age all papers and sticker with vintage photo ink and adhere cardstock and patterned papers to box.

Step 3: Using Mega Runner, apply adhesive and adhere ribbon to box.

Step 4: Adhere label, 3D elements, ribbon and bows.

Step 5: Run photo corners through 1.5" Sticker Maker and adhered to cardstock.

Step 6: Adhere photo to photo corners.

Step 7: Repeat steps 1-3. Add patterned paper, ribbon, photo, and 3D elements to 2nd wooden box.

Step 8: Add bows to layout using hot gun. Continue embellishing as desired.

Xyron & Paper House Blog Hop!

Hi there,

Oh what fun the Xyron Design Team has been having this week blog hopping with Paper House. View our team's designs on the Xyron blog, here.

I really enjoy working with Paper House papers. The papers are medium weight, perfect for layering and distressing, and absolutely wonderful with Xyron products. The papers are also themed, which makes creating so much fun.

I created a fun Nature themed layout using the Outdoors Paper House  pad and stickers.  I also used my 9" Xyron Creative Station and Teresa Collins Mega Runner. My tutorial is shown below…

Supplies
Patterned Paper: 1st Layer (1) 8 1/2 x 8 1/2, 2nd Layer (1) 8 1/4 x 8 1/4
Photo
(1) Corrugated Board (9 X 9)
Stickers
Vintage Photo Ink
Foam Tool
Paint
Xyron Adhesive: 9" Creative Station
Distressing Tool
Trimmer
Pins

Step 1: Distress corrugated board and apply paint to edges. Set aside to dry.

Step 2: Distress edges of patterned paper using distressing tool. Use finger to enhance the distressed edges.

Step 3: Run distressed patterned papers through Xyron 9" Creative Station to apply adhesive to papers.

Step 4: Adhere 1st layer of patterned paper to painted corrugated board.

Step 5: Adhere 2nd layer of patterned paper to 1st layer and enhance distressed areas as needed.

Step 6 :Apply adhesive to photo and photo mat using Teresa Collins Mega Runner.

Step 7: Apply stickers and matted photo to layout.

Step 8: Continue embellishing until desired look is achieved.

I hope that this layout inspires you to pull out the outdoor photos and have some creative fun.

Thanks so much for visiting today...:)

Hugs,
Karen
