"Hope" Necklace

Hi there,

I'm sharing this little necklace I made yesterday. This was so much fun. I used charms by Industrial Chic and crystal beads. All were found in Michael's. Love the final product...

“Boys” Altered Keepsake

Hi there,
I created this little keepsake for a friend that is always making cute things for my sweet girls. She has boys, so I hope this put’s a smile on her face. I tried my best to make this a more masculine piece by being more selective within this K and Company collection. Just about everything in my stash is girly girly...:)

Supplies- Patterned Papers, Letters, Gems and Tags: K and Company; Photo Corners: Martha Stewart; Distress Ink and Floral Die: Tim Holtz.

Sea Keepsake

Hi there,

I felt inspired to create this little 4 x 4 keepsake today. I wanted to use a Sea theme, so I chose the "Travel" collection by Tim Coffey. This collection is so wonderful and fun to play with. The base for the keepsake is game chest. I love these types of keepsakes, because they provide neat note or personal storage options. I really enjoyed the final result.

True Love Wall Art

Hi there,

I had the best time creating this layout. The photo was left from my Valentine Chunky Book, and I thought it would be perfect for this project. I purchased these fun papers from Family Memories in Charlotte. The papers and coordinating embellies are by We R Memory Keepers. The twine is from the Twinery.

Now- I did something really fun with this project to enhance the overall piece. I usually alter a frame and place it on an easel and simply enjoy or gift. This time I chose some coordinating paper, adhered it to some of that stashed 12 x12 chipboard. This created a great springboard/backdrop for my altered frame. I layered my 8 x 8 frame unto the base, which created an instant 12 x 12 wall art piece. For photo purposes, I added this fun border. Love it!!

The following photo shows the 3-D appeal. Notice that the wood is unfinished. I typically use them unfinished, but love the option to add ink, paint, or paper for a completely different feel...

My Valentine Chunky Book

Happy Friday...
Well, I had to do it again.. another chunky book. I made this book with a Valentine theme just in time for Valentine’s Day week. I used embellies galore- there wouldn’t be a chunk to the book without them…:)
I have to say that I absolutely love creating my own chunky books. They enable me to incorporate the products I like with minimal limitations. I bind all of my chunky books with my Cinch, which adds even more versatility to the creative process.

Valentine or Spring ATC

Hi there,
I am sharing some cuties today that were made for my Stampin Divas group. I love ATC’s and these were super simple to make. I started by cutting my ATC cards to 3 ½ x 2 ½. I then embossed them using various embossing folders. I directly applied some Distressed Ink to the embossed ATCs. Next, I wanted to create a little pocket on the ATCs, so I added some patterned paper only adhering the sides and bottom. Then I added some ribbon and stamped a quote in black. The last additions were to punch some ovals from patterned papers and add them to the ATC with some shredded paper. I call these Valentine/Spring ATCs because I used Valentine themed papers, but created a “Spring” feel with the egg like presentation. I hope my Divas like them.

Karen
