2011 Christmas Album

Hi there,

We are almost there...almost into 2012. It's amazing how quickly 2011 flew by. Before we get to the 2012, I would like to share my Christmas 2011 album with you. Christmas was so wonderful for us. We felt so blessed to be surrounded by family. My little ones had such a fun time. The photos in this album capture those most wonderful moments.

To create this album, I started with paper bags for the base. I filtered in some corrugated board and then covered my pages with My Mind's Eye. Next I aged my papers and bound the book with my Cinch and coils. I added many 3 -D elements and photos. I LOVE chunky books, so that was one of my focuses with this album. This was truly a lot of fun. Take a peek...

Supplies: Patterned Paper and 3-D Elements: My Minds Eye; Stickers: Bo Bunny; Ribbon: May Arts; Punch & Dies: EK Success & Sizzix; Ink: Ranger; Metals & Buttons: Tim Holtz; Bling: Recollections; Beaded Stems: Prima

I love reading your comments, so feel free to leave me some...:)
Thanks so much for visiting.

Hugs,

Karen

Altered Chipboard Pieces

Hi there,

I wanted to share these little altered items that i created using chipboard pieces for my Diva group. The theme was chipboard. I used the Tim Holtz bodyform die and vintage ink, basic grey paper, CTMH pearls, hemp and some repurposed tulle from my girls tutus. They were made during breast cancer awareness month, but just realized that I didn't share them with all of you.

These make great magnets, embellishments for pages or pins...many possibilities.

Thanks for stopping by!!

Hugs,

Karen

CHA Summer 2011 Sneak Peaks

More Sneaks...

Storage options are always on the list to see and try. I wanted 1 of everything Creative Options had to offer.

I didn't mention Sticky Thumb in my earlier post, but the adhesive line that I used at the show was absolutely wonderful. The service at their booth was great too.

The following pics are from the Nunn Designs booth. I thought I was in heaven. Most of you that know me, know I LOVE to create jewelry in addition to stamping and scrapbooking. I spent a lot of time at this one for sure. Just beautiful...

The rest of the pics below are all yumminess from the Stampers Anonymous and Darcie's continuous booth. They never disappoint. Just Yum!!!

ATC Fun

Hi there,

Don't you just love ATC's? I do too...:) They can be such precious little pieces of art. I recently had a pink, grey and black Diva swap. My Diva group and I had fun creating for this swap. I decided to create ATC's. See my swap below.

I used my copics with these ATC's. After stamping my image using memento ink, I airbrushed RV04 and C04 onto my card- RV04 was airbrushed with the sketch end and C04 airbrushed with the paintbrush end. Using the paintbrush end added some texture to the ATC. The last touch was to edge the ATC with black ink. Loved it!!!

Karen

In Honor of Father's Day...

Hi there,

I had an opportunity to create this Father's Day card last night. I used some of that old Daisy D's paper- absolutely love them. I also added a layer of text paper. That gave my card a more rugged, yet interesting feel. The stamps are by Stampers Anonymous and Great Impressions. After adding all of the layers...:) I decided to add a cutout of Tim's embossed truck with a little accent to the wheels. I hope you like...

Birthday Card

Hi there,

I am sharing this "Birthday" card that I made tonight. I received some of that wonderful Tim Holtz tape and wanted to use it. I edged this card with it inside and out. The tape is really cool to use and super easy to apply with the mini tape dispenser. I think this is my new best friend...:)

The focal image is by Penny Black. I also used several of my copics: YR21, YR23, YR20, YG23, YG25, C1, C2. I used stamps by Endless Creations and Stampin' Up!. All pieces were aged with walnut stain distress ink. After coloring my image I went back in and detailed it with my white pencil. Love that!

Thanks for stopping by...:)

Cricutgirlg said... This card is beautiful. I love the stamp and the black offsets the metal nicely. I've never thought to combine the metal with another frame before. What a great idea!

Thanks Cricutgirlg! Adding the additional frame also gave a matted look to the framed image. Really liked that!!! I hope that you enjoy your new set and look forward to some extras in your package too…Hugs, Karen
