Sunflowers and Dragonflies Challenge 35- "They Say It's Your Birthday"

Hi there,

This week Sunflowers and Dragonflies challenges you with creating a project using a birthday theme. Any creation with this theme will do. We just want to see what you come up with. The design team had so much fun playing with the birthday theme using the birthday JustRite stamp from the Favorite Occasions set . See their creativity here.

My card is below:

I chose to create a card using the birthday stamp from the JustRite set. I pulled in layers and layers from Cosmo Cricket, ribbon by Martha Stewart, dazzling gems by Prima, and the butterfly metal embellie is from my metal stash. I used copics E25,E21,G00,G82,YR02. I absolutely love the versatility of the JustRite stamps. While I did create an A2 card, this stamp was also perfect for an ATC, Gift Tag, or journal embellie. Have to love versatility....:)

Today, I am sharing some ATC's that I created for myself after finishing some for a swap. I really love the end result. I hope that you will too.
To create these I used some sanded emblossed Black Magic Coredination Cardstock as a base. I then added a layer of Basic Grey, a pre-printed transparency, some handmade stamps and flowers from K and co., and some prima beaded flourishes and flowers. I have not decided if I am going to frame these for a little stampin sister gift yet. I may... Hugs, K

Sunflowers and Dragonflies Challenge 32- Easter Theme

Hi there,

This week at Sunflowers and Dragonflies, we challenge you to create an Easter project. Beth recently sent these precious stamps from Justrite stamps. The design team had a ball creating with them. Please see their beautiful work here.

I created this little Easter box in a bag using the new Hope And Joy Justrite stamp below:

I started by creating a box in a bag with some really old K and Co that I had in a sacred drawer...LOL. I think that it's been 5 or 6 years since I played with this collection. I am so glad that I found it because it was so perfect for this stamp and this theme. After creating the bag, I created the tag/atc with some coordinating Bazzill cardstock. I used my nestabilities to cut out the cute chick and the scalloped layer. The chick stamp by Justrite was colored with copics: E50, E42, RV95, RV93, Y00, Y000, YR23, YR21, YG95, YG63, BG72, B52. I then added an eyelet to the ATC to create the tag for the bag. I also added a mini ball and chain to attach the tag to the bag. The last addition to the bag was to add some gems to the handle and some coordinating grass to the bag. I loved this little project. It looks like Camille and Kimberly's daycare class will get these little bags filled with goodies for Easter.

Don't forget that you have an opportunity to play along with us. There is a prize opportunity each week. We look forward to seeing your creations. Good Luck!!!

Thanks for stopping by, Karen

Junked Bracelet

Today, I am sharing a little bracelet that i "junked up" a bit yesterday. Love that term...LOL. I recently made some new charms and felt it was time to create my bracelet and wear my art.

I remember buying this ball and chain bracelet from a vendor at the Scrap Art Tour convention a couple of years ago. Also bought some of the soldered piece seen in the photo. I decided to add them along with some crystals, the colorful charms that I created, as well as some other charms that I wanted displayed on the bracelet. Most of the pieces are added with full knotted ribbon. Other pieces are added with jump rings. I am really enjoying this piece a lot. I look forward to making more. Thanks for stopping buy, K.
