Life is not...

I want to share this card with you. I created it last night using some stamps by Penny Black that arrived on yesterday. I love her stamps.
The bottom layer of the card is by Core'dination ColorCore Cardstock . It is really lovely paper. It has two tones with a different color core. It's sandable and distressable. The color that I chose to use was black with a tan core from the black magic collection. I cuttlebugged the layer and sanded it to expose the core. I layered my stamped focal piece on it using 3-d tape. The stamped image is layered onto to SU So Saffron and Pumpkin Pie. I added some pearls, ribbon and a little charm that I created to accent the card and the stamped image.
Thanks for stopping by..*:)

Thank You Card

Hi there,

I had an opportunity to play in my stamp room tonight. This is what I came up with...

I love this stamp by CTMH. It is 1 of 3 floral stamps in the new Enjoy Every Moment stamp set. I complimented the stamp with some paper by K & Co, and it is nestled on a nestie. I coordinated the paper with some SU cardstock. The focal image is colored with copics: RV32, RV34, YG93, YG95, R00. The lovely pearls that I added are from Kaiser Scrapbooks. Love these!! They have a light pink tint to them-so perfect for this card. The "Thank You" ribbon is by Martha Stewart. Enjoy!

Sunflowers and Dragonflies Challenge 29-Pink, Red, & Cream

Hi there, we have such a fun challenge in store for you this week. We challenge you to create something special using pink, red, and cream. Won't you join us...:) Please visit Sunflowers and Dragonflies to see all of the beautiful work by the design team. My Pink, Red & Cream card is below:
I chose to use a Sarah Kay image for this challenge. Her images are so sweet and available at Sunflowers and Dragonflies. My card base is 6X6. Of course I have multiple layers.. I coordinated sheets of Bazzil with some Anna Griffin Valentine scrapbook paper. I used a an Anna Griffin note element as a platform for my Sarah Kay image and then layered on to a vellum cuttlebugged nestie, which created the focal piece of this card. I added some satin ribbon and a heart charm. I added some corner pieces to Sarah Kay for a more heirloom feel. I also used some Martha Stewart fabric corners and the velvet "Valentine" is by Anna Griffin.

My Sarah Kay image was colored with copics. I used markers: Y11, Y13, E11, E15, E17, E13, RV0000,RV35, RV23, RV09, RV21, R35, C2.

Please don't miss an opportunity to show off your Pink, Red, & Cream. Visit Sunflowers & Dragonflies today and play along. You have an opportunity to win a lovely prize, and we would love to see what you come up with.

Happy Stamping!!!K

Sunflowers and Dragonflies Challenge 28-Sketch

Hi there,

This week we are having a sketch challenge at Sunflowers and Dragonflies. Please join us by creating your own take on the sketch below.
The following is my take on the sketch:

I chose to use this lovely raspberry chocolate rose cupcake by Sunflowers and Dragonflies. I complimented the stamp with layers of paper by K & Co and pomegranate cardstock by SU. All papers were aged with some vintage photo ink. The cupcake was colored with copics RV34, RV32, RV21, R0000, R00 and then stickled lightly. I framed the cupcake with a nestie cut and airbrushed around it just a little. My last touch was to add an airbrushed flower and brad by Chatterbox...*:)
The S&D design team had so much fun creating with this sketch. Please see all their beautiful work here.
If you participate in our challenge this week, you have an opportunity to win your choice of prima flowers and basic grey paper from Sunflowers & Dragonflies. As always, please read the S&D blog for all requirements. We look forward to seeing what you come up with.
Happy Stamping!!!

Congratulations Card

Happy Thursday,

I have a little gem to share with you today. One of my really good friends from work accepted a great job. I made this card for her for all at work to sign. It is a multi-panel card with many layers. You know that I love layers-LOL. The card was super heavy and super spacious, but so appropriate for such a wonderful occasion and for such wonderful person.

The base of the card is a 5 X 17 panel trimmed down to a 5 X 15, which gave me 5 X 5 panels to work with. I chose to use "Blue Awning" by K and Co . because of the vintage richness of the design and its versatility. I was able to coordinate the papers with some Bazzill cardstock. For the life of me, I could not quickly put my hands on a "Congratulations" stamp, my "Congratulations" was generated with my PC and then layered before applying to the inside. This particular card gave us 6 signing panels that were completely used before presenting to her. Thanks stopping by, K
