Calendar Rolodex Cards

Hi there, I am finally back in my Palace...8:) Today, I needed this creative therapy. I created some Calendar Rolodex cards using an old stamp that I have had for awhile, but had not had the chance to use. It is a stamp by Anna Griffin. I decided to use it in 2 ways. I colored the focal image on 1 Rolodex card with copic markers: R46, Y35, BV29, B91, E08, YG97. I then created as frame around the focal image using some Daisy D's paper. The back of the card shows a full backing of this beautiful paper, but I only wanted a frame look on the front. I then used my Scor-Pal to create the simulated chicken wire pattern that you see on both cards. I dusted the card with some ink using my dusters. I added some ornate corners and vintage round brass numbers to the card to give this card a more antique look. The last touch to this card was to mat the card on to some metallic cardstock.

The next Calendar Rolodex Card with the same image was created by stamping the image directly on to a Rolodex card in black. I then brayered on color using an Autumn spectrum pad and my brayer. I created the background pattern using my Scor-Pal, added some ribbon and a coordinating flower with gem...Loved the end result.

Calendar Rolodex Cards-Resist Technique

Can you tell that I will be away from my Palace for a while...8)

I created a few Calendar Rolodex Cards using the Resist technique. To create these, I stamped my image on to my rolodex card with VersaMark Ink. I then brayered ink on to the Rolodex Card. The brayered ink resisited in all VersaMark areas. The more I brayered, the more resistance. I stamped a verse in black and added some dew drops, buttons, and ribbons to the cards. I added this technique to my Technique Rolodex and also my Calendar Rolodex. I hope that you will enjoy these as much as I enjoyed making them.

Calendar Rolodex Cards II-B

I am sure by now you are familiar with the products that I mostly use. The newest addition to my collection is the verse stamp that I used on this Calendar Rolodex. It is a beautiful verse by Verses Rubber Stamps. It showed up at my door a couple of days ago and I wanted to share it with you.

Fabric Card II

I have been really enjoying playing with fabric. I found some really pretty pink and black fabric this weekend when one of my stampin buddies came into town. We had so much fun shopping for stampin goodies. The card that I created today was centered around the fabric that we found. I used cuttlebug layers to layer with-distressed them a little to add more defined texture. The floral stamps that I used as a background to the Verse stamp (Verses Rubber Stamps) are by Gelatin Stamps. I added some flowers and glitz to finish the card. Enjoy!

Fabric Card (Special Friends)

Today, I made a card using fabric as the background. I love the retro look of this card. I found the fabric at Fabric's by the Yard. The stamped images are by Gelatin Stamps. I finished the card by adding embellishments that coordinated with the fabric. I usually create about 4 of each card that I make for future card giving. I think I will create 8 of these...8:) The inspiration to use fabric came from my good friend, PF...8:) I will definitely create more with fabrics. I love the instant background and theme that the fabric provides.

A Fresh Perspective-Day 30 of My 30 Day Challenge

Today is Day 30. I really didn't know how I would feel on today when I initially challenged myself. I can share that I feel wonderful. I feel stress free. I feel refreshed. The last 30 days have been so much fun. I have overstocked my card collection, used embellishments that I have not touched in years, created and finished some useful projects, and used a great deal of my stash. It is so much fun collecting it all, but even more fun using it and sharing the ideas with others. I hope that you all have had as much fun stopping by as I have had creating. Please continue to visit often and I will continue to create and share in the days to come.
I created the card of the day with a fresh perspective in mind. I used those fresh and fun papers from Bo Bunny, my lovely Penny Black stamp for the focal image, my Rubber Soul quote stamp, those perfect "when in doubt" dew drops, and some polka dot ribbon. Enjoy!

Beeswax Card-Day 27 of My 30 Day Challenge

Today I wanted to play with my Copic Markers and one of my Beeswax stamps. I started this card by stamping on to white glossy cardstock with black stazon ink using my Beeswax stamp. I then chose Copic Markers: RV09, YG03, Y32, and Y35 to airbrush color on to my stamped glossy cardstock until I reached my desired look. I then trimmed my card down and used coordinating layers for a matted look. You can also achieve a similar look using the direct to paper technique. Both techniques yield beautiful results. Enjoy!
